Are Blogs Dead?
It’s a question I’ve been asking myself.
I started this blog way back in 2010.
For years, it was a place where I shared thoughts, ideas, and whatever else was on my mind.
But then it kinda got left behind, life happened, things changed.
And like many others, I just stopped posting here.
At first, I blamed it on being too busy.
Then on not having anything to say.
But if I’m honest, the real reason has become clearer lately:
The internet has changed.
In 2025, it feels like blogs — once vibrant, personal spaces — have been pushed to the sidelines.
Google has changed too.
It’s not the same search engine we use to know, now, it feels like AI is answering everything before you even have a chance to click a link.
People don’t “browse” the web like they used to.
They ask AI a question and get an answer immediately.
Quick.
Effortless.
Efficient.
Who needs to scroll through endless blog posts anymore?
Right…?
But here’s the thing.
Last night, I realised something.
Maybe blogs aren’t dead.
Maybe they’ve just evolved — like everything else online.
A blog is still a place where you own your words.
Where you choose the conversation.
Where you’re not boxed in by an algorithm, a feed, or a chatbot’s summarised answer.
AI can give you an answer.
But a blog gives you a person.
A real voice, not just a response.
So maybe it’s not that blogs are dead.
Maybe we just forgot why they mattered in the first place.
Maybe it’s time to start posting again…
